Positions Available

Project Manager
Geographic Technologies Group (GTG) is looking for an energetic, creative, and enthusiastic Project Manager to work in the consulting, utilities, and data conversion services division of the company. 

  • Define project scope, goals, objectives and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Plan, execute, and close projects according to deadlines and within budget.
  • Coordinate team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
  • Liaison with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform analysis of project requirements and perform quality review of project deliverables.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Assess and determine need for additional staff and/or consultants.
  • Set and continually manager project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risk, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project close out and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Must have a high level of ESRI GIS skills including desktop projects and ArcGIS Server.
  • Hands on GIS technical work with ESRI software

Overnight travel will be required for work conducted at client sites.

Direct work experience in a project management and senior project resource capacity for GIS implementation projects, including all aspects of process development and execution.

University degree or college diploma in the field of geography, computer science, information technology, or relate field. Experience with project management and project management software, such as Microsoft Project, database design and implementation. Strong written and oral communication skills.
